LAWFARE SUCKS

Nihilists with law degrees are at it again

Imagine a boot on a human face, tweeting forever

Lawfare Boss Benjamin Wittes quit Twitter after his Kavanaugh lies backfired

Wittes, the consigliere of the "Lawfare Blog" at the Brookings Zerg Hive, is mostly known for wearing a tuxedo on his Twitter avatar, and being old friends with James "Lockheed Cash Money" Comey.

With buds like that, it's no surprise he is also tight with DC Circuit Judge Brett Kavanaugh, yet another patsy of the malevolent Federalist Society foisted upon our sad nation.

In one of his tedious tweetstorms Wittes assured everyone that A) Kavanaugh would never lie; B) his emails with Kavanaugh are basically meaningless. Not so fast Mr Tux, "pretending to believe it's absurd to think [Kav] would ever lie."

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) poked holes in the titanic concealment of Kavanaugh's disgusting email records. Thus surfaced proof of Wittes conspiring with Kavanaugh, enabling everyone to turn him into an online corncob for obviously shilling for his buddy. Booker pointed out amid the files the GOP tried to hide:

The documents released today also pertain to Kavanaugh’s involvement with the nomination of Judge William Pryor to the Eleventh Circuit; Kavanaugh denied any involvement in the controversial judge’s nomination during his 2004 Senate confirmation hearing for the DC Circuit Court but today’s emails contradict that claim by showing Kavnaugh’s involvement in the Judge’s nomination.

Kavanaugh used materials stolen from Democratic Party-controlled computer systems by Republican Senate Judiciary Committee staffer Manny Miranda about Judge William H. "Bill" Pryor, another far right hellbat from Alabama, notorious for his shitty views on Black people and The Gays (he even filed an amicus brief in Lawrence v. Texas to support criminalizing gaystuff).

Terrible people like Wittes and David Frum have crafted big followings pitching a pompous #Resistance mythos but once in a while, like here, the mask drops and you can see their love for corrupt lawyers and especially in Frum's case a murderous hatred of Palestinians.

To summarize, as an old friend put it, America is run by "bent lawyers." If you buy into the Wittes fantasy that Kavanaugh would never lie, you are so far down the rabbit hole of deception that you'll never climb out.

WTF is LAWFARE??

The crew clustered around Lawfare hype is the national-security version of the miserable "Law and Economics" legal philosophy and the Pinochet-bolstering "Chicago School" of economic theory led by Milton Friedman.

These nihilistic technocrats espousing inhumane ideologies are critical cornerstones of human misery around the world today -- formalized nihilism without any goal or purpose besides oppression. In poli sci terms they have only instrumental rationality and no teleology (goals or purpose).

"Lawfare" got big as a bunch of far-right Israel political hacks were mad that Palestinians tried to get "standing" to sue them over various forms of oppression in assorted international courts. They called this "lawfare" as a form of "warfare" by other means. [They are blissfully indifferent to how Israel's "Civil Administration" has been using military force and farcical legal reasoning to steal parcels of Palestinian land occupied since 1967]

As panic about the Boycott Divest Sanctions (BDS) movement spreads amid Israeli hardliners, they've turned more to lawfare tactics to try and save the unjust political system. The Israeli government, specifically Mossad, aids a lawfare organization called Shurat HaDin that files frivolous lawsuits.

In 2010 the fanatical militarist psychopaths at the Brookings Insitution decided to start a Lawfare Blog which became a lot more famous after President Trump randomly tweeted "LAWFARE".

The point of the Lawfare blog is to assure mostly other law professors and various dweebs of the NatSec Blob (which is real) that the nightmarish post-2001 dystopian police state we live in is totally rational, very good and justified, and also any details you might raise about the unconstitutional total surveillance regime are wrong and noobish, you little dinks.

The blog Emptywheel posts a lot about how Lawfare writers are frequently disingenuous, inaccurate and plain wrong on the facts.

More about this bullshit philosophy
